Quantifying Variability of Young Stellar Objects in the Mid-infrared Over 6 Years with the Near-Earth Object Wide-field Infrared Survey Explorer

چکیده
Variability in young stellar objects (YSOs) can be caused by various time-dependent phenomena associated with star formation, including accretion rates, geometric changes the circumstellar disks, stochastic hydromagnetic interactions between surfaces and inner-disk edges, reconnections within magnetosphere, hot/cold spots on surfaces. We uncover characterize ?1700 variables from a sample of ?5400 YSOs nearby low-mass star-forming regions using mid-IR light curves obtained 6.5 yr Near-Earth Object Wide-field Infrared Survey Explorer All Sky Survey. The variability traces wide range dynamical, physical, geometrical phenomenon. classify six types YSO based their curves: secular (linear, curved, periodic) (burst, drop, irregular). earlier evolutionary stages have higher fractions amplitudes for variability, recurrence timescale FUor-type outbursts (defined here as ?W1 or ?W2 > 1 mag followed inspection candidates) ?1000 early embedded protostellar phase. Known eruptive stars subluminous show similar to fraction (?55%) found typical protostars, suggesting that these two distinct are not over timescale. Along brightness we also find diverse color variations, which attributed competitive interplay variable luminosity central source extinction material process.

A systematic survey for eruptive young stellar objects using mid-infrared photometry
Accretion in young stellar objects (YSOs) is at least partially episodic, i.e. periods with high accretion rates (’bursts’) are interspersed by quiescent phases. These bursts manifest themselves as eruptive variability. Here we present a systematic survey for eruptive YSOs aiming to constrain the frequency of accretion bursts. We compare mid-infrared photometry from Spitzer and WISE separated b...
متن کاملMid - infrared observations of young stellar objects in the vicinity of σ Orionis ⋆
We present new mid-infrared observations of objects in the vicinity of the O-star σOrionis, obtained with TIMMI-2 at ESO. By constraining their nearand mid-infrared spectral energy distributions, we established the nature of previously known IRAS sources and identified new mid-infrared sources as young stellar objects with circumstellar disks, likely massive members of the σOri cluster. For two...

We have constructed a near-infrared imaging camera which is attached to the prime focus of 105cm Schmidt telescope at Kiso Observatory. The camera is equipped with a 10401040 PtSi CSD array developed by Mitsubishi Electric Co. The combination of Kiso Schmidt and the array gives a wide eld of view of 18:4 0 18:4 0 with a reasonable spatial resolution of 1:06"=pixel. The system performances of th...
متن کاملNear–Infrared Spectroscopy and Young Stellar Populations
Over the past decade, tremendous progress has been made in applying the techniques of MK classification to spectra obtained from 1–5 μm. This spectral region is rich in atomic and molecular features which are temperature and luminosity sensitive providing a powerful technique to study intrinsically red and/or heavily dust embedded stellar populations. We will summarize recent work with particul...
